Comparisons - Assessment 1 and 2.

Upon reflection and comparison of my final makeup assessments I think that both the makeup looks are very similar in terms of hair style and beard placement, facial makeup, and ageing. The wrinkles are very realistic looking  and are in similar places on the model's face for both photographs. 

I think that the exposure on the camera was set slightly differently which is why the model looks more tanned in the second assessment in comparison with the first assessment pictures. The hair style and beard placement is almost identical, which I am really happy about.

 I think that the hair was one of the more simple parts of my design to replicate and this shows the effectiveness within continuity of simplicity in terms of my hair design.

When looking at the veins in comparison to assessment 1 and 2. I think they did turn out quite differently. The veins in assessment 1 were turquoise in colour, whereas the veins in the assessment 2 pictures are a slightly darker blue, with a purple undertone. I think that the veins in assessment 1 are also more obvious and prominent because of the brighter blue shade but looking at the images now I actually prefer the outcome of the veins is assessment 2 better. As I think they look more naturalistic in skin tone and style. The shapes however are quite similar and are placed in more or less the same space on the head in both images. Although I think the vein that is coming across the neck and slightly onto the chin should have been extended further in assessment 2. Overall I am happy with both the looks however I feel that I definitely created a better final image in assessment 2. I will definitely take into consideration the shades of colour I use next time and write more specific amounts of colour that I use on my continuity notes. 

 

 I am very proud of the outcome of my work and feel that my research and efforts to create a design that could be replicated easily in continuity circumstances worked well. The outcome of my project has inspired me to continue working with special effects and character development. I chose this as my option for next year as the processes of changing the face really interest me and I would like to develop my knowledge of this specific industry.
